Kanon Catchings, the former Brownsburg High School star and Purdue basketball commit, will attend Georgia after leaving Brigham Young, where his playing time dwindled late in the season.
The 6-9 wing, who would have been a 2024 Mr. Basketball frontrunner but decided to play for Overtime Elite, joins the Bulldogs, who lost to Gonzaga in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. He also considered North Carolina.
Catchings is the nephew of Tamika Catchings, who led the Indiana Fever to the 2012 WNBA championship on the way to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
