After a strong season under second-year head coach Robyn Fralick, the Michigan State women's basketball team will look to reload and go even further next year following their second-round loss to North Carolina State in the NCAA Tournament. The Spartans picked up a key transfer on Sunday to help solidify their roster for next season when they received a commitment from Purdue transfer Rashunda 'Spider' Jones.

Jones, a guard, just finished her sophomore season for the Boilermakers where she averaged 9.8 points per game on 27.2 minutes per game. the 5-foot-8 guard out of South Bend, Indiana entered the portal on March 31 and didn't take long to find a home in East Lansing. Jones made the All-Big Ten freshman team as a freshman after entering college as the No. 79 ranked player in the 2023 recruiting class.

Jones is the first transfer commitment for the Spartans so far this offseason.
