Fifteen athletes from across the High Desert are in the running for the Victorville Chevrolet High School Athlete of the Week.

The poll closes at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday night.
Here are the choices for the week, based on performances from March 31 through April 5.
- Aryhana Shyne, Silverado softball — Shyne collected eight hits in two victories for the Hawks. She began the week by going 4 for 5 with three RBIs and two runs in a 17-12 victory over Barstow on April 2. Shyne led the offense in a 27-6 victory over Victor Valley on April 4 going 4 for 4 with a home run, five RBIs, four runs and two stolen bases.
- Beau Lloyd, Apple Valley baseball — Lloyd helped lead the Sun Devils to two victories in three games with Oak Hills last week. Lloyd went 2 for 4 with a RBI, a run and a stolen base in a 20-8 loss on April 1. The following day, Lloyd went 2 for 3 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs in a 9-4 victory. Lloyd hit a home run and struck out five batters over 6 ⅔ innings in a 9-3 victory on April 3.
- Brett Holstrom, Oak Hills tennis — Holstrom helped lead the Bulldogs to a pair of victories in singles action. In a 14-4 victory over Serrano on April 2, Holstrom swept with scores of 6-0, 6-0 and 6-2. He followed that performance up by sweeping 6-2, 6-4 and 6-2 as Oak Hills beat Sultana 13-5 on April 4.
- Brooke Johnson, Apple Valley softball — Johnson had a huge performance in a 9-6 victory over Serrano on April 3 by going 4 for 4 with three home runs and four RBIs. She began the week by going 1 for 3 with a run in a 6-0 victory over Oak Hills on April 1.
- Eden Skinner, Hesperia Christian softball — Skinner smacked home runs in each of the Patriots’ two games last week. Skinner went 2 for 3 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs in a 19-9 loss to Western Christian on April 2. She followed that up by going 3 for 3 with a home run and five RBIs in a 20-2 victory over Lucerne Valley on April 4.
- Hayden Gonzales, Academy for Academic Excellence softball — Gonzales helped lead the Knights to a pair of victories over Big Bear on the week by driving in eight runs. Gonzales went 3 for 3 with three RBIs, three runs and a stolen base in a 20-10 victory on April 1. Gonzales went 2 for 5 with five RBIs, two runs and a stolen base in an 11-1 victory on April 3.
- Jace Weiss, Silverado baseball — Weiss helped the Hawks to a pair of victories. He began the week by going 1 for 3 with a RBI and a run in a 14-5 victory over Barstow on April 2. Weiss struck out 13 batters and allowed just four hits over seven innings, and went 1 for 3 with a RBI and a run in a 5-0 victory over Victor Valley on April 4.
- Kaleb Kutz, Granite Hills baseball — Kutz led the Cougars in their lone game of the week by going 2 for 3 with a home run, four RBIs, two runs and a stolen base in a 6-1 victory over Barstow on ...
