As the 2025 NFL draft nears, the Cleveland Browns are set to meet with Ohio State football running back Quinshon Judkins in Berea.
According to Jordan Schultz at FOX Sports, the Browns are set to host Judkins. It's unknown when Judkins' visit will take place, but with the draft quickly approaching, it's expected to be sooner rather than later. The rising prospect also has several other visits before the NFL Draft.
After a poor rushing attack for most of the 2024 season, the Browns have a glaring need in the running back room that must be addressed. With veteran back Nick Chubb remaining a free agent, the team currently has familiar faces Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong Jr. at the head of the running back committee. Last season, Cleveland finished near the bottom of the league in major statistical categories. This includes being ranked 31st in the NFL with only eight rushing scores and 29th in the NFL with only 1,608 team rushing yards.
There is no question that Quinshon Judkins would bring versatile athletic ability to the running back room. After two electric seasons for Ole Miss, Judkins was a huge addition for the national champion Ohio State Buckeyes. While splitting carries with fellow draft prospect TreVeyon Henderson, Judkins collected 1,060 rushing yards with a 5.5 yards per carry average and 14 rushing touchdowns.
Whether it's Judkins or another playmaker, Cleveland is expected to add a rookie running back during the NFL Draft. The team appears ready for a young running back who will work to earn his carries in 2025. Judkins is already a fan favorite due to being an Ohio State national champion, and it would go over well with the fan base if he became a Cleveland Brown.
