NFL draft prospect Jalon Walker is asked about his meeting with the Panthers

We already have a pretty good idea of what the Carolina Panthers think about Jalon Walker. But what does Jalon Walker think about the Carolina Panthers?

The All-American linebacker and 2025 NFL draft prospect joined Wednesday's episode of Up & Adams, about 48 hours after the show's interview with Panthers head coach Dave Canales. Canales wrapped up the chat on Monday by telling host Kay Adams to ask Walker, during his eventual appearance, about the impact he's had on his college teammates.

So, that's what Adams did.

"I believe in passionate energy," Walker replied. "Most definitely, being a part of the University of Georgia, our team is very well-connected. And myself being one of the leaders on the team, I had the opportunity and objective to connect with everybody—to the starting guys to the walk-ons on the team. I feel like everyone deserves that respect of just being at the University of Georgia.

"But having that team chemistry and having that team relationship with these guys, and knowing what these guys are really fighting for, what their 'why' is, is another way to bring that extra notch out during game time."

The Salisbury, N.C. native is one of the frontrunners for Carolina's first-round pick. He's fresh off a standout 2024 campaign, where he was named the 2024 Butkus Award winner—the honor for the nation's top linebacker.

Walker was recently brought in by the organization for a local visit, something Adams also asked about.

"Their staff is great," he said with a smile. "That whole staff, in general—they have a mission, they have a plan to bring up the dynasty of the Carolina Panthers once again. And I'm excited to see what they have in store."

Well, we're sure the Panthers are excited, too.
