Over the next several days, the Beaver County Times will be rolling out its 2025 spring sports preseason players of the year from the fan vote.
The Beaver Valley baseball preseason player of the year will be revealed first followed by softball on March 26, boys and girls lacrosse (March 27), boys volleyball (March 28) boys and girls track and field (March 31) and boys tennis (April 1)
Baseball preseason player of the year
Stephen Knallay, Blackhawk (7,826 votes 56.17% of the total vote)
With over 13,700 votes cast in the baseball poll, Knallay has been chosen by viewers as the 2025 Beaver County Times’ baseball preseason athlete of the year. Last year, Knallay batted .259 with 14 hits, six RBIs through 18 games.
