Marion Star Preseason Softball Player of the Year Poll: You pick the winner for 2025
With the 2025 high school softball season starting this weekend, it’s time to ask Marion Star readers who they think the preseason player of the year should be.
Voting at MarionStar.com and its app will continue through early morning on Wednesday, March 26. Fans are encouraged to vote as often as allowed. The leaders will be announced at a later date.
Here are the nominees for the poll complete with their 2024 honors and stats:

Kennedy Harrah, North Union, junior, shortstop: All-Marion Star second team, .422, 30 R, 11 RBI, 19 SB.
Madison Hill, Elgin, junior, pitcher/shortstop/outfield: All-Marion Star first team, .416, 17 R, 21 RBI, 8 doubles.
Kate Kissling, Northmor, senior, third baseman/pitcher: All-Marion Star first team, .466, 21 R, 17 RBI, 11 doubles.
Ariana Simpson, Cardington, senior, pitcher/infielder: All-Marion Star first team, .493, 24 R, 29 RBI, 5 HR.
Faith Staley, Pleasant, sophomore, pitcher: All-Marion Star second team, .309, 20 R, 23 RBI, 8 doubles, 5 HR.
