- Notebook: Lindsey was the head softball coach at Marion Harding earlier in his career before becoming Pleasant’s athletic director … The Spartans have good senior leaders and a good pitcher returning … The team’s hitting could be strong … They graduated a pair of All-MOAC picks in Katie Jordan and Hannah Miller, so they need to replace them at centerfield and catcher … The sophomores will be battling for starting positions … The Spartans hope to compete in the MOAC with Shelby, Clear Fork and River Valley.
Ridgedale
- Conference: Northwest Central Conference.
- Coach: Georgie Stacy (first season).
- Assistant coaches: Tam Rossey, Jerry Delaney, Austin Riegel.
- Last year: 14-3, 8-0.

- Notebook: Clark-Lindsey coached at her alma mater for two seasons at North Union … She played softball at Ohio State … She takes over for longtime RV coach Phil Shepler who retired … The Vikings are young, but also experienced … They have versatile pitchers and infielders … There will be several new faces on the roster, so the upperclassmen need to be leaders … RV wants to average less than one error a game and have a .310 team batting average … The coach sees Shelby, Clear Fork and Ontario as the favorites, and she thinks the Vikes can fit in with those teams … They lost an All-Ohio pitcher in Lanie Wooten plus Bentley Auld and Delaney Myers … The buy-in from the team to a new coach has been good, according to Clark-Lindsey.
