The Post's Athlete of the Week: Vote on this week's best high school sports performances
Welcome to Athlete of the Week voting from The Palm Beach Post!
The poll is open until noon Friday.
Congratulations to our latest winner, Emily Falk of Oxbridge Academy girls lacrosse. The senior scored six goals and tallied two assists to lead the Thunderwolves in a 17-2 win over Palm Beach Central.
Each winner will be awarded a one-of-a-kind Athlete of the Week shirt provided by BSN SPORTS. Winners will be contacted weekly. Nominations are accepted via email or phone but will be selected by staff in the absence of submission.
Baseball: Kane Decker, Seminole Ridge — Junior tallied two hits, including a home run, and stole two bases, accounting for a team-leading seven RBIs during an 8-4 win over Palm Beach Gardens
Softball: Erryn Lowe, Wellington — Senior hit a three-run home run to lead Wellington past Palm Beach Gardens in a 4-1 victory, helping the team improve to 7-1
Boys lacrosse: Peyton Norris, St. John Paul II — Junior scored six goals and tallied five assists, accounting for 11 of 18 goal contributions in an 18-8 victory over Columbus
Girls lacrosse: Isabella Rizzo, Olympic Heights — Senior scored a team-high six goals in leading the Lions past Palm Beach Gardens by a 13-7 score-line
Boys track and field: Brian Exume, Atlantic Christian — Senior ran a 14.69 to take home first place in the boys 110 hurdles during the Palm Beach Gardens Invitational
Girls track and field: Jamiyah Murray, Atlantic — Junior ran a 13.45 in the 100 meter event and a 27.55 in the 200 meter, taking home first place in both events at a Boynton Beach meet
Flag football: Blake Rabin, Oxbridge Academy — 8th grader has been integral to the Thunderwolves on both offense and defense, helping Oxbridge to a six-game win streak prior to a loss to Cardinal Newman
Flag football: Sophia Correa, Cardinal Newman — Freshman receiver and safety tallied 122 yards and three touchdowns on nine catches, adding two interceptions on defense in a 31-0 victory over Olympic Heights
Boys volleyball: Aiden Albury, Palm Beach Central — Senior outside hitter tallied 11 kills, three digs, and two aces in a 3-1 match victory over Wellington
