Voting is open for the Campbell Clinic Memphis area girls high school athlete of the week for March 10-15. The poll closes Thursday at 4 p.m. See the nominees below:
Zoie Bernard, St. Benedict: Bernard went 3-for-4, including a home run, with three RBIs in a 13-3 win vs. North Pike. She was also 3-for-4 with a triple and a homer in a 9-7 defeat of Pass Christian.
Samiya Jones, Bartlett: Jones was named to the TSSAA Class 4A girls basketball All-Tournament Team after putting up big performances on the Panthers' run to the championship game. She had 13 points and six rebounds in the quarterfinal win vs. Oak Ridge and 10 points and 15 boards in the semifinal victory vs. Cookeville.
Brittanie Layton, Arlington: Layton was the winning pitcher and had an RBI in a 2-0 victory over Huntingdon. She also had a win and two hits in an 8-4 victory over Jackson South Side.
Brooke Levine, Munford: Levine threw a complete-game, four-hitter with 11 strikeouts in a 6-0 victory over Collierville. She also had three stolen bases.
Kiya Mell, Middle College: Mell scored 16 points in Middle College's 1A state quarterfinal loss to Van Buren County.
Curnesha Taylor, Memphis Business: Taylor led the Execs with 13 points in their narrow loss to York Institute in the Class 2A quarterfinals.
