The NFL has announced the upcoming offseason schedule for each team, including the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Since the Jaguars have a new head coach in Liam Coen, they get a jump start on offseason programs compared to the NFL teams whose head coach is returning.
Instead of starting organized team activities (OTAs) on April 21st, the Jaguars--and other teams with a first-year head coach--can begin on April 8th.
Below is how the rest of the offseason schedule unfolds from that point on:
Voluntary minicap
- April 21st-23rd
Voluntary OTAs
- May 19th
- May 21st-22nd
- May 27th
- May 29th-30th
- June 2nd-5th
Mandatory minicamp
- June 10th-12th
This will be the first time that the entire team will be together under its new leadership structure. As Liam Coen described earlier this week at the NFL league meetings, Phase I will include introducing the new offensive and defensive systems, but also importantly, Coen will continue establishing the culture he wants to have throughout the organization.
