With NFL free agency largely behind us, Lance Zierlein of NFL.com is back with version 3.0 of his 2025 mock draft. So who does Zierlein have the Jacksonville Jaguars selecting this time?
Like many others out there, Zierlein has the Jaguars taking Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham--a pick that makes a lot of sense, given Jacksonville's need.
"Graham doesn't have the freakish size, length or athleticism that others might offer, but he's tough, consistent and productive -- and that's what Jacksonville needs inside," wrote Zierlein.
Graham generated 34 pressures and five sacks last season, according to PFF, but his biggest impact came against the run, where he was PFF's top graded interior defender, along with ranking second in run-stop rate as well.
When a defense has a strong presence inside--just look at the Eagles--every defender on the field benefits. The best way to wreck any offensive play is with a quick push up the middle, and that defender can also help create opportunities for others with the push they create, the blockers they take on, and the space they eat up.
This was a Jaguars' defensive front last season that ranked 32nd in ESPN's pass rush win rate and 27th in run stop rate.
In order to potentially have Travis Hunter available at pick No. 5, the Jaguars likely need two quarterbacks taken in the top four. Otherwise, Graham or trading down may be the two most likely options.
