The Seattle Seahawks are entering the 2025 NFL draft in a good position. General manager John Schneider won't feel pigeonholed into making a selection at No. 18 overall. While many expect the Seahawks to draft an offensive lineman, Schneider may also consider a wide receiver or defensive chess-piece in the first round.
The Draft Network recently released their latest mock draft. Jaime Eisner has the Seahawks with a mini surprise, taking South Carolina safety Nick Emmanwori at No. 18 overall.
"The Seahawks have met with Nick Emmanwori鈥攖he star of the 2025 NFL Combine鈥攖wice, and it's hard to ignore how well he'd fit in Mike Macdonald's defense," Eisner wrote. "It's not fair to call him Macdonald's next Kyle Hamilton, but Emmanwori is a versatile safety who'll bolster Seattle's secondary immediately."

Emmanwori captured historical testing results at the NFL Combine by leaping showcase-best results, a 43 inch vertical and 11-foot-6 broad jump. After running a 4.38-second 40-yard dash, the Greensboro, South Carolina native became just the fourth prospect since 2003 to run a sub-4.4 and top 40 inches in the vertical at 6-foot-3 or taller, per ESPN's Research department.
The Seahawks released veteran safety Rayshawn Jenkins from his contract earlier this offseason. Coby Bryant and Julian Love are currently the starters. Bryant and Love are an effective duo, but adding Emmanwori would help head coach Mike Macdonald further explore the possibilities.
