FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — Cumberland native Daniel Diehl finished the NCAA Division I swimming championships with a pair of All-American honors.
In the men's 800 Freestyle Relay, Diehl, Kaii Winkler, Luke Miller and Sam Hoover finished seventh with a time of 6:06:95.
It earned the four swimmers All-American honors, extending the Wolfpack's streak of 13 consecutive years earning All-American recognition in the event.
On Friday in the 200 freestyle, Diehl finished 23rd overall timing 1:32:28.
It's the sixth-fastest time in NC State history and a personal best.
On Saturday in the 200 backstroke, Diehl placed 16th timing 1:40:07 and earning honorable mention All-American honors.
Diehl now has five All-American recognitions in his two-year career.
The Wolfpack finished in ninth place as a team, marking the 10th consecutive year the NC State men's team placed top 10.
