The Indiana men’s team finished third in the 2025 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championship on Saturday.
The Hoosiers’ scored a program record 459 points for their best finish since 2019. They finished behind Texas (490) and Cal (471). The Longhorns won their second title in the last five years and 16th championship in program history.
Indiana set 10 program records, six Big Ten records and tied a program record with 50 All-America honors (five titles) during the four-day event at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center.

Zalán Sárkány and Jassen Yep won national titles within an hour of each other on Saturday with the third-fastest times ever in their respective events.
Sárkány, a junior transfer out of Arizona State, stepped up to the podium first after winning the 1,650-yard freestyle (14:21.19) for a second straight year. The time set a Big Ten and program record and made him the fastest non-American in the event.
He also set program records in the 500-freestyle (4:09.22) and 400-Medley (3:40.64) at the event.
Yep, a former walk-on, won the 200-breastroke (1:48.30) by out-touching Penn’s Matt Fallon. He beat out the personal best he set in the prelims by more than two seconds. The fifth-year senior had only scored at one NCAA Championship prior to this season.
“Tonight was a fantastic end to a magical season,” IU head swimming coach Ray Looze said in a release. “Although we came up short for the national title, I have never been prouder of a group of men.”

Indiana swept all three diving events at this year’s NCAA Championships with Carson Tyler defending his championships in the 3-meter and platform events and Quinn Henniger winning his first title in the 1-meter springboard.
