HILLSDALE COUNTY — The accolades continue to pour in for Hillsdale County student athletes after a successful winter sports season. Today, the Michigan Sports Writers panel released their all-state selections for Division 3 boys basketball.
Amongst the honorees were two standout athletes from the area who were also nominees for reader's choice player of the year. Hillsdale senior Brody Adams and Jonesville sophomore Caleb Blonde both earned all-state honorable mention honors for their efforts this season.
Adams helped lead the Hornets to the program's first district title since 2018 and a total of 12 wins this season. This also included a Pat Patterson Pool A championship. He had a single game-high of 27 for the year, 328 total points, 13.12 points per game, 4.84 rebounds, 3.12 assists and 1.72 steals. He earned second team all-LCAA honors.
Blonde led Jonesville to a 12-win season. His 16.9 points per game was the highest in the County for boys basketball athletes. He earned all-league dream team honors from the Cascades Conference as a sophomore. He averaged 2.5 steals, 2.6 assists and 3.4 rebounds each game and scored a single game-high of 29 points this season.
