Texas women's basketball will get yet another crack at taking down the sport's premier program.
The Longhorns beat the TCU Horned Frogs 58-47 to reserve a spot in the Final Four. Texas will play Friday against South Carolina for the fourth time this season. South Carolina defeated Duke in the Elite Eight.
It's Texas' first time in a national semifinal since 2003. South Carolina has won two of the last three NCAA championships. The teams split their regular-season matchups before the Gamecocks beat the Longhorns in the SEC Tournament title game.
Sophomore Madison Booker and senior Rori Harmon were among the Texas players to reach double-digit scoring. Jody Conradt, Texas head coach for more than 30 years, was on hand in Birmingham, Ala. to see the victory. She led the Longhorns to their lone women's national basketball title in 1986.
