The Kansas City Chiefs have some bombastic personalities on their payroll, and they never leave fans wanting for an interesting offseason story.
Friday, April 11 was National Pets Day, which gave the reigning AFC champions a great opportunity to highlight their players' furry (or, as it turned out, scaly) friends in a post to Twitter.
Running back Carson Steele, who joined Kansas City as an undrafted free agent last season after an illustrious collegiate career, was seen posing with his pet alligator, which is affectionately named Crocky-J.
Among the other Chiefs seen in the team's post were star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, All-Pro center Creed Humphrey, and rising pass-rusher George Karlaftis, who were pictured with canines of various breeds:

While Kansas City's locker room is known to be a tight-knit community, Steele's teammates won't soon be scheduling a playdate with Crocky-J for their four-legged friends.
Expect to see more from Steele, Mahomes, Humphrey, and Karlaftis next season as the Chiefs look to earn a chance to appear in a fourth consecutive Super Bowl.
