Kansas City Chiefs continue to expand their brand internationally with Brazil game rumors

A report from 'The Athletic' last week suggested that the Kansas City Chiefs are favored to be considered the visiting team against the Los Angeles Chargers in the Week 1 game in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This will be the second time the league has held a game in Brazil, with the Philadelphia Eagles defeating the Green Bay Packers last year.

During last week's annual league meetings, Chiefs Owner Clark Hunt spoke about the potential of playing the rumored game.

"We make the league aware every year that we would be delighted to play (an international game), whether as a home team or as an away team," said Hunt." We hope, at some point, we'll get picked back up. We're willing to do it whenever the opportunity presents itself."

Since the 2015 season, Kansas City has played games in England (2015), Mexico (2019), and Germany (2023). The franchise recently announced plans to market to fans in Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Spain, which could help significantly grow the team's fan base in Europe.
