The Kansas City Chiefs retained a key piece of their special teams unit on Friday by officially re-signing veteran linebacker Jack Cochrane, who has won two Super Bowl rings with the team since 2022.
Cochrane first joined the Chiefs as a free agent after the 2022 NFL draft following an impressive collegiate career with the South Dakota Coyotes in which he earned All-Missouri Valley Football Conference honors in 2019 and 2021.
During his first three seasons in Kansas City, Cochrane has started in one game and tallied a total of 42 combined tackles in 47 games.
The Chiefs officially recognized Cochrane's signing in a post on Twitter:

Though Cochrane has experience playing as a linebacker for Kansas City's defense, the majority of his time on the field in the NFL has come on special teams, where he has played a total of 895 snaps over the last three seasons, according to Pro Football Reference.
Stay tuned to see how Cochrane will figure into defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo's plans for the 2025 season.
