Ohio State Buckeyes star visits Kansas City Chiefs just days before the 2025 NFL draft

On Friday, the Kansas City Chiefs hosted Ohio State Buckeyes offensive tackle Josh Simmons on a visit less than two weeks before the 2025 NFL draft.

Simmons is expected to be one of the first linemen off the board in the first round later this month, and Kansas City may need to explore a trade-up in the first round to land him.

During his time with the Buckeyes, Simmons won one CFP National Championship and earned third-team All-Big Ten honors after his outstanding 2024 campaign.

A California native, Simmons stayed home to play for the San Diego State Aztecs before transferring to Ohio State in 2023.

News of his meeting with the Chiefs broke on Thursday in a post to Twitter by Adam Schefter of ESPN:

Though it seems unlikely that Simmons will be available when Kansas City makes its No. 31 pick in the 2025 NFL draft, the Chiefs' interest in the former Buckeye is something to monitor as the Annual Player Selection Meeting approaches.
