Broncos select Ohio State running back in 2025 NFL mock draft

The Denver Broncos have said directly that they plan to select a running back in the 2025 NFL draft. The only question is when.

Oddsmakers expect the Broncos to use a first-round pick on a running back, and many draft pundits agree. The latest example comes from NFL.com's Bucky Brooks, who has Denver picking Ohio State's TreVeyon Henderson at pick No. 20.

"Adding a running back is a top priority for an offense looking to support a young franchise QB in second-year pro Bo Nix," Brooks wrote on NFL.com. "Henderson's speed and explosiveness add a big-play dimension to a grind-it-out offense."

Before the Broncos' pick, Brooks has Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty going to the Las Vegas Raiders (No. 6), Penn State tight end Tyler Warren going to the New York Jets (No. 7) and UNC running back Omarion Hampton going to the Chicago Bears (No. 10).

After Denver's pick, Brooks has Michigan tight end Colston Loveland landing with the Los Angeles Chargers (No. 22), Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan going to the Los Angeles Rams (No. 26) and Texas receiver Matthew Golden landing with the Washington Commanders (No. 29).

The Broncos hold seven picks in this year's draft, which will be held from April 24-26.
