One RB for the Eagles in every round of the 2025 NFL draft

We're less than two weeks away from the NFL draft,, and while the Eagles have a handful of needs, a running back is the least of the worries for the Super Bowl champions.

Saquon Barkley is coming off a 2,000-yard season, while AJ Dillon was signed to provide a powerful running back behind the Offensive Player of the Year. Will Shipley was a mid-round pick in 2024, and two reserves are on the roster in Tyrion Davis-Price and Lew Nichols.

With Round 1 fast approaching, we're looking at one running back for the Eagles in every draft round.

Round 1: Omarion Hampton, UNC

Hampton has an incredible blend of power, quickness, and speed. He forcefully runs behind his pads and bursts through narrow seams between the tackles. With 1,026 rush yards after contact, he ranked third in the nation.

Round 2: Quinshon Judkins, Ohio State

Ohio State's backfield was incredible last season, with Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson forming a dynamic duo. Judkins led the Buckeyes in rush yards last season (1,060 to Henderson's 1,016), thanks to an explosive, physical running style that helps him run through tackles. Judkins saved his best for last, logging 121 scrimmage yards and three TDs in the national championship win over Notre Dame.

Round 3: Jaydon Blue, Texas

As a junior, Blue's production earned him more opportunities in the running and passing game. He recorded 1,098 scrimmage yards and 14 TDs, culminating in a 146-yard game in the College Football Playoff against Clemson.

Round 4: Trevor Etienne, Georgia

Etienne was a member of the All-SEC Freshman Team in 2022 at the University of Florida. He's the younger brother of Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne.

Round 5: Jarquez Hunter, RB, Auburn

Hunter was one of the best running backs in the SEC over the past few years. He finished his 2024 season with 1,201 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. In 2023, he ran for over 900 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. In 2021 and 2022, Hunter finished with over 500 rushing yards each year.

Round 6: Marcus Yarns, RB, Delaware

Yarns is a dynamic running back with good quickness, vision, and elusiveness at 5-foot-11 and 195 pounds. Yarns finished his UD career with 2,344 rushing yards and 3,156 all-purpose yards, scoring 34 total touchdowns.

Round 7: Donovan Edwards, RB, Michigan

Edwards spent four seasons at Michigan and played an integral role in their run game. He served as a captain for the 2024 season and started the season in the feature-back role for the Wolverines. Edwards finished his collegiate career with 422 carries for 2,251 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns. He also totaled 86 receptions for 797 yards and four touchdowns.
