It nearly seems like a foregone conclusion that Penn State tight end Tyler Warren will be off the board by the time the Denver Broncos go on the clock with the 20th overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
Warren is largely considered the best tight end in this year's class, but not everyone has him ranked as TE1. Some pundits (and perhaps some teams) consider Michigan's Colston Loveland to be the top TE, and some experts believe Warren could fall all the way to Denver.
In their latest first-round mock draft for Yahoo, Nate Tice and Charles McDonald have the Broncos using pick No. 20 to select Warren.
"Signing Evan Engram in free agency should not preclude the Broncos from drafting Warren here," Tice wrote for Yahoo. "Warren’s potential as a move-around chess piece makes him a fun potential fit with head coach Sean Payton, with his reliable hands and dynamic ability as an underneath weapon providing Bo Nix with a receiving option he can rely on and develop with."
Tice and McDonald have Loveland going to the Chicago Bears at pick No. 10. The Indianapolis Colts, who have been a popular landing spot for Warren in mock drafts, pick Michigan cornerback Will Johnson in Yahoo's mock.
Warren would be a dream pick for the Broncos, and while he seems unlikely to fall to them, nothing can be ruled out this time of year. The 2025 NFL draft will be held in Wisconsin from April 24-26. Denver holds seven picks.
