Texas baseball has a chance to score another landmark SEC victory when No. 3 Georgia comes to town to begin a three-game series on Friday.
The No. 5 Longhorns (23-4, 8-1 SEC) are one of four teams in the SEC that enter the weekend at the top of the conference standings with one loss. They'll face off against one of the others in coach Wes Johnson's Bulldogs (29-2, 8-1).
Georgia has slugged 84 home runs as a team in 2025, 12 more than the next closest team in the country. Together, Bulldogs sluggers Robbie Burnett (15) and Ryland Zaborowski (14) have clubbed more home runs than over half of the teams in college baseball.
Jim Schlossnagle's team will be looking to keep up without Max Belyeu, last season's Big 12 Player of the Year, who injured his thumb in last weekend's sweep of Mizzou.
