If Texas A&M baseball is going to right the ship, this weekend would be a good time to start.
After going 1-2 against Kentucky, the 14-14 (1-8) Aggies now turn their attention to Knoxville for a College World Series final rematch against No. 1 Tennessee.
A&M is fresh off a 21-1 win over Incarnated Word on Tuesday and is hoping that offensive power sustains as they play its toughest opponent yet.
Tennessee enters the series 26-2 (8-1 in SEC) and continues to look like one of the best teams in college baseball.
Volunteers are fourth in the conference in batting, tallying a .317 team batting average. Tennesee has also racked up 71 home runs and 279 RBIs, second and third in the SEC, respectively.
Tennessee's pitching staff is anchored by right-handed pitcher Marcus Phillips, who is 2-0 in seven starts. Phillips has tallied a 2.02 ERA, punching out 42 batters in 35⅔ innings of work.
