A busy Thursday was followed by an even busier Friday for the Pittsburgh Steelers, as after hosting four prospects just one day prior, it was reported by Mark Kaboly that four additional pre-draft top-30 visits were taking place—Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart, Oregon DT Jamaree Caldwell, Iowa State WR Jaylin Noel, and South Carolina S Nick Emmanwori.
Dart is now the second quarterback to be hosted for a pre-draft visit by the Steelers, with Louisville QB Tyler Shough being the first. However, Dart is widely regarded as a first- to second-round pick, while Shough could be a fifth- to sixth-round steal.
Interestingly enough, there seems to be a growing trend in pre-draft top-30 visits involving defensive tackle prospects outside of the first round, potentially painting a new draft narrative for the Steelers, as Caldwell is projected to be a Day 3 pick.
Noel had arguably his best season as a senior in 2024, hauling in 80 receptions for 1,194 yards and eight touchdowns. Emmanwori snagged four interceptions and recorded 88 tackles in just 13 games.
Both the Iowa State Cyclones wide receiver and South Carolina Gamecocks safety are projected to be second-round picks.
