Dolphins to host 332-pound All-American DT on pre-draft visit

The Miami Dolphins are hosting Texas defensive tackle Alfred Collins on a pre-draft visit, according to ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques.

Collins spent much of his time with the Longhorns backing up the team's star duo of defensive tackles Byron Murphy and T'Vondre Sweat. After both of those players were top 50 selections in the 2024 NFL draft, Collins burst into the spotlight as a core piece of one of college football's most dominant defenses, earning Second Team All-American and First Team All-SEC honors.

Earlier this year, Collins measured in at 6'6, 332 pounds at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine.

The Dolphins could use work on the defensive line after losing Calais Campbell and Da'Shawn Hand in free agency. That left the team with only Zach Sieler and Benito Jones set to return in 2025, along with Matt Dickerson and Neil Farrell, a pair of players who spent much of the 2024 season on the Miami practice squad.

The Dolphins are allowed to bring in 30 prospects ahead of the 2025 NFL draft for a private visit that is allowed to include medical checks. Earlier this week, the Miami Herald reported that Texas A&M defensive lineman Shemar Turner is also set to visit the team.
