Patriots meeting with possible first-round target on pre-draft visit

Michigan Wolverines defensive tackle Mason Graham is taking pre-draft visits with the New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints over the next three days, according to a report from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler on Wednesday.

Graham was one of the most dominant defensive linemen in college football. He tallied 108 combined tackles and nine sacks over the course of three seasons with the Wolverines. The 2023 campaign included a national championship victory for Graham and the program.

The Patriots made a splash free agent signing at the defensive tackle position with the acquisition of former Philadelphia Eagles standout defender Milton Williams. There's also hope that Christian Barmore will be healthy enough to return next season.

Adding a talented player like Graham would provide Barmore insurance and add exceptional depth at defensive tackle for New England.

Graham would not be a bad selection for the Patriots should they want to focus on the defensive side of the football.

That being said, the organization made the defensive side a focus during free agency, and they could use additional offensive playmakers.
