Georgia Bulldogs projected starting OL suffers injury

Another Georgia Bulldogs offensive lineman is battling through an injury. Projected starting right tackle Earnest Green suffered a dislocated finger recently during spring practice, according to head Kirby Smart.

"Earnest (Greene), he's had a few bumps and bruises. He's dealing with a – I don't know which finger it is," Smart said. "He's got a dislocated finger that he's having to wear a club. So, it's frustrating for him because he can't use his hand. I feel like he really tried to play hard Saturday in the scrimmage."

Greene played the most snaps of any returning Georgia offensive lineman, so as a rising redshirt junior, Greene is expected to be the anchor of the UGA offensive line. Greene battled injuries in 2024 before he was eventually usurped by Monroe Freeling for the starting blindside spot, but Greene has a lot of potential as he showcased in 2023.

Not to mention, Monroe Freeling and Daniel Calhoun are both out for the spring due to injury. Another projected key offensive lineman, Marques Easley, is suspended indefinitely from the team. ...
