ACC's sixth-man of the year transferring to Georgia basketball

The ACC's sixth-man of the year, California Golden Bears guard Jeremiah Wilkinson, is transferring to the Georgia Bulldogs. Wilkinson, a rising sophomore, was born in Powder Springs, Georgia, and attended McEachern High School.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound guard brings a scoring punch to the Bulldogs. Wilkinson averaged 15.1 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.8 steals per game during the 2024-2025 season with California. The Golden Bears did not play a lot of winning basketball last season. California went 14-19 (6-14 in the ACC) in another down year for the ACC, which had just four teams make March Madness.

247Sports ranks Wilkinson as the No. 82 prospect in the NCAA Transfer portal. The Cal transfer is the No. 7 combo guard in the country. He was a three-star recruit coming out of high school and was ranked as the No. 20 prospect in Georgia.

Wilkinson did not have the most efficient scoring season with Cal. He shot under 40% from the field (39.9%) and 32.1% from three-point range. Nearly' half of Wilkinson's shots were three-pointers.
