The Georgia Bulldogs lost a lot of key defensive linemen through the transfer portal and 2025 NFL draft. However, the Bulldogs still recruit junior Christen Miller, one of the best interior defensive linemen in college football, returning. In fact, according to Pro Football Focus, Miller is the fourth-best returning interior defensive lineman.
Miller was used sparingly in his freshman season with the Bulldogs in 2023. However, in 2024, he really took off. He nearly doubled his tackle numbers, but those stats don't show how good he was for the Bulldogs last year. Miller earned an 82.3 PFF grade, one of the best grades of all Power Four defensive linemen and one of the best defensive grades for Georgia.
Unfortunately, Miller is still currently recovering from a labrum injury he suffered against UMass in Week 11 of the 2024 regular season. He'll miss spring because of the rehab process, but he should be good to go for the start of 2025. He will be the leader of a defensive line group that is full of young recruits from 2024 and 2025.
PFF ranks Miller behind Alabama's Tim Keenan (No. 3), Penn State's Zane Durant (No. 2) and Clemson's Peter Woods (No. 1).
