The bigger element of the deal is that it made the Celtics the most expensive team purchase in the history of the NBA -- and for that matter, any team in the history of any league at an estimated $6.3 billion. What's more is the eventual value of the storied ball club could rise to as high as over $7 billion by the time the two-tiered deal is done.
