The Miami Dolphins will host former Texas A&M defensive lineman Shemar Turner on a pre-draft visit, according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.
Turner -- not to be confused with his Aggies teammate and fellow 2025 NFL draft prospect Shemar Stewart -- is a 6'3, 290-pound lineman who was a three-year starter for A&M. He earned Second Team All-SEC honors in 2023 and finished his collegiate career with 10 sacks and 22.5 tackles for loss.
The Dolphins are allowed to bring 30 players in for pre-draft private visits, which can include medical checks but not workouts.
It's no surprise that the Dolphins are keeping a close eye on defensive linemen, as starter Calais Campbell won't return with the team in 2025 after signing with the Arizona Cardinals. That leaves the team with only Zach Sieler and Benito Jones set to return, along with Matt Dickerson and Neil Farrell, a pair of players who spent much of the 2024 season on the Miami practice squad.
Turner is projected to land in the third round of the 2025 NFL draft, according to an aggregation of mock drafts.
