Jaxson Dart visits with Steelers — is Pittsburgh tipping its draft day plans?

What a difference a week makes! It seemed that while the NFL world was abuzz with the 'Jaxson Dart to Pittsburgh' narrative, the lack of a pre-draft top-30 visit contradicted the hype—until now.

Dart, a promising Ole Miss QB prospect with dual-threat ability, has either been billed as the savior of the Pittsburgh Steelers offense—or the next Kenny Pickett. There seems to be no in-between.

In 2024, Dart threw for 4,279 yards and 29 TDs, while rushing for 495 yards and three TDs. His 4,774 total yards, 9.1 yards per play, and 180.7 passing efficiency rating led all of college football last season.

It is this terrific output during the Ole Miss prospect's senior season that has the Steel City torn over whether to take another shot at a first-round QB and forgo the defensive line need for later in the draft.

Will the Pittsburgh Steelers select Dart with the 21st overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, or is his pre-draft top-30 visit simply a team doing their due diligence ahead of the big day?
