The 2025 NFL draft is just a few weeks away, and teams around the league are going through their respective processes to evaluate players. Part of those evaluations include Top 30 visits, where each team hosts its top 30 draft prospects for individual workouts and interview sessions.
The Tennessee Titans already hosted Miami quarterback Cam Ward for a Top 30 visit, and now they will host Tennessee Volunteers wide receiver Dont'e Thornton later this month.
Per source, #Titans have a top 30 visit with Tennessee WR Dont'e Thornton on April 15. At 6-5, Thornton ran a 4.30 at the Combine and it shows up on film.

Thornton's size and speed allow him to make contested catches, but he is more athletic than he is productive. He lacks decisiveness, has limited route-running ability, and struggles to separate. But because he is athletic and tall, he can overcome those weaknesses. At the NFL level, whichever team selects him will have to work on developing his on-field play, but his size and speed are a huge advantage.
The Titans desperately need to add talent to the wide receiver room in 2025. Their current starters are Calvin Ridley, Treylon Burks, and Van Jefferson. Burks may not even be available until the season starts as he recovers from an ACL repair. Bryce Oliver, Jha'Quan Jackson, and Mason Kinsey are available receivers, but they typically show up on special teams rather than offense.
Signs still point to the Titans drafting Cam Ward with the first pick, but they have other needs they can tackle later in the draft. Thornton may be able to fill one of those needs.
