Spokane Chiefs Andrew Cristall Finishes 2024-25 Season As WHL's Top Scorer

After a sensational season, Spokane Chiefs forward Andrew Cristall has won the 2024-25 Bob Clarke Trophy. The annual award is handed out to the player who leads the WHL in points. This season, Cristall recorded 132 points in 57 games, narrowly beating out Medicine Hat Tigers forward Gavin McKenna, who finished the season with 129 in 56 games.

After recording 60 points in 28 games with the Kelowna Rockets, Cristall was traded at the deadline to Spokane. There, the Washington Capitals prospect put up 72 points in just 29 games. For reference, only 32 players, including Cristall,l finished the season with at least 72 points, showing just how dynamic he has been over the past two months.

The 2024-25 season was also a historic one for Cristall as he became the first player in the 21st century to record 400 career regular-season points. Cristall finished the season with 412 points in 248 games, which ranks 27th all-time in WHL history. He also is the 24th member of the 255 assist club, while his 157 goals rank tied for 65th all-time.

Up next for Cristall and the Chiefs will be a first-round battle with the Vancouver Giants. This season, Cristall recorded ten points in five games against Vancouver, while Spokane posted a record of 4-0-0. Game 1 is scheduled for Friday, March 28, at 7:00 pm PT.
