🇪🇸 Barcelona go top after incredible comeback at Atleti

Barcelona came from 2-0 down with 20 minutes remaining to stunningly defeat Atlético de Madrid 4-2 at the Metropolitano Stadium and move back to the top of La Liga.

Unsurprisingly, Barça dominated possession throughout but Atlético remained a threat on the break throughout, and it was in this manner that the first goal was scored on the stroke of half time.

It was a brilliant ball from Antoine Griezmann that put Hansi Flick's defence on the back foot, and Giuliano Simeone perfectly laid the ball off for Julián Alvarez to smash home and bounce back from his midweek penalty controversy.

Griezmann played a role in the second as well as part of a great move that again exposed the high line of Barça. Conor Gallagher got space down the left, and teed up fellow substitute Alexander Sørloth to finish and make it six games in a row in which he's scored against the Catalan giants.

With 20 minutes left, that appeared to signal game over but Barça instead kickstarted an incredible comeback almost right away.

Robert Lewandowski put them back in the game, finishing expertly after taking down Iñigo Martínez's ball into the box.

It was 2-2 six minutes later, Ferran Torres heading past Jan Oblak after meeting Raphinha's cross perfectly.

Both sides had chances to win it, and both went looking for the three points, but it would be Barça who got it deep into added time.

Lamine Yamal took a speculative shot from outside the box and saw take a wicked deflection off Reinildo and completely wrong foot the helpless Oblak. Torres would add a stunning fourth with almost the final kick and seal a famous win for Flick's side.

It's a win that could have huge implications, with Barça now back on top, ahead of Real Madrid on goal difference, and four points clear of Atlético with a game in hand on both of their title rivals.
