New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has a clear understanding of what he views as successful for the 2025 season. He wants to see the rebuilding Patriots get back to the playoffs.
The Patriots have not made the playoffs since the 2021 campaign. Since then, the organization has gone a combined 16-31 in the last four seasons of play, including back-to-back 4-13 finishes. They have quickly slumped from being a perennial playoff contender to a team with one of the worst records in consecutive seasons.
"To make the playoffs," Kraft responded when asked what he needed to see to make the season successful.

The Patriots underwent significant changes in the offseason, including major coaching changes and personnel moves.
Mike Vrabel has taken over as head coach and brought in a new staff. The team also burned some cash for key free agents, including Milton Williams, Stefon Diggs, Carlton Davis and Robert Spillane.
Wins won't come easy in a division with the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins. It would be a fight for the Patriots to even sniff out playoff contention, but considering the moves made by the team, the goal isn't close to sounding as far-fetched as it would have a season ago.
