The Miami Dolphins are set to make their earliest draft selection in four years when they go on the clock at No. 13 overall in the 2025 NFL draft. But the opportunity to reshape the roster goes beyond Round 1.
With two picks on Day 2 and seven on Day 3, the Dolphins have a chance to bring in a big group of young talent -- especially in the trenches where the offensive and defensive lines are lacking depth. At Pro Football Focus, they identified a perfect target for every team on Day 2 as well as another on Day 3. For Miami, it was a pair of linemen.
On Day 2, PFF says the Dolphins should keep an eye on Tyleik Williams, a 334-pound nose tackle from Ohio State:
"As the roster is currently constructed, the Dolphins lack depth and talent on the interior. Benito Jones is currently slated to start at nose tackle, but his 47.6 PFF run-defense grade leaves something to be desired. Although he lacks pass-rush production, Williams brings power in the run game on the interior, posting a PFF run-defense grade that placed him in the 91st percentile."
A day later, PFF says Miami should consider using one of its Day 3 picks on UConn offensive tackle Chase Lundt:
"Armed with seven picks on Day 3, the Dolphins can take some fliers in the back half of the draft. One option is Lundt, perhaps the longest player in the draft — although with a bottom-percentile weight for the position (290 pounds). He has the movement skills to excel in Mike McDaniel’s zone-heavy scheme, having earned an 88.2 PFF grade on those plays last season."
The Dolphins were already in need of help at defensive and offensive tackle, but those issues were exacerbated by the departures of veteran leaders Calais Campbell and Terron Armstead.
Miami owns the No. 48 and 98 picks on Day 2. On the final day of the draft, the Dolphins have two picks each in Rounds 4 and 5, and three selections in Round 7.
