2025 NFL draft: Ole Miss LB Chris Paul Jr. named 'best fit' for Tennessee Titans on Day 3

The Tennessee Titans have plenty of needs to address with their eight draft picks in the 2025 NFL draft. The first pick is all but set in stone, barring any sudden changes the Titans will be drafting Miami quarterback Cam Ward with their top pick.

After that, though, things get complicated. Most mock drafts don't look past the first round or two, but most draft picks are selected on the third day.

On Day 3 of the NFL draft, the Titans have six picks through four rounds. One of the players they should be looking at, per Pro Football Focus, is Ole Miss linebacker Chris Paul Jr.

Prospect to target: LB Chris Paul Jr., Ole Miss

Paul's lack of mass may drive down his draft stock, but his ability is worthy of a Day 3 draft pick, and the Titans hold the opportunity to make him the first selection in Round 4. Paul profiles as a solid developmental option at linebacker — given his athleticism, football IQ and all-around game as one of three FBS linebackers to post 78.0-plus PFF grades in all three major defensive facets in 2024 — while he contributes early on special teams.

Nicknamed "Pooh," Paul is a player who has to be on Dennard Wilson's radar. From a developmental point of view, Paul is the perfect candidate for Wilson to mold and push to reach his potential. He has a solid technical foundation but will need to work on taking initiative and trusting his instincts when a play calls for improvisation. He has good vision and can get through gaps most wouldn't see, so building his trust in himself will be key.

Paul played three years at Arkansas before transferring to Ole Miss. As a senior, he recorded 86 tackles (48 solo), four passes defensed, 3.5 sacks, and one interception.

Projected to go on Day 3, Paul should be available when the Titans pick at No. 103.
