BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — One thing is certain about former UNLV wide receiver Ricky White III. He is bringing a lot of confidence to the NFL.
“Any time I’m on the field, I feel like my team has an advantage to win,” said White III.
White III backed up that confidence with two of the most productive seasons in program history. In 2023, White set the Rebels single-season record with 1,300 receiving yards.
He followed that up last season by becoming the only wide out in school history to rack up over 1,000 yards receiving in back-to-back years. The 23-year old produced those big number from the slot as well as on the outside.
The NFL draft hopeful is also playmaker on special teams. White III was the Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Year with four blocked punts, two of which led to touchdowns.
“I got so much dog in me,” said White III. “It just gave me an advantage to go out there and compete every down.”
Ricky White III doesn’t have great size or elite speed and that will be a concern at the next level. He is projected to be a mid-round draft pick.
