Who was best coach during Cheboygan-area winter sports season? Vote here!

CHEBOYGAN – Plenty of athletes were outstanding during the 2024-25 Cheboygan-area high school winter sports season.  

But multiple coaches also did an exceptional job of guiding their squads to success.  

With winter sports now complete, be sure to cast your vote on which Cheboygan-area coach did the best job. The poll opens on Monday morning and closes at 11 p.m. on Wednesday.  

Here’s a look at the nominees:  

Jason Friday, Cheboygan Boys Basketball – Guided the Chiefs to a 15-victory campaign and one of the best seasons in recent Cheboygan basketball memory.  

Daryl Vizina, Inland Lakes Girls Basketball – Helped guide the Bulldogs to a 21-win campaign, a third consecutive district championship, and a runner-finish in the Ski Valley Conference.  

Josh Ferraiuolo, Burt Lake NMCA Basketball – Coached the NMCA girls to their first-ever district title, while also guiding the NMCA boys to a winning season and a district final appearance.
