Where Alabama sits in latest SEC baseball standings following series win vs. Oklahoma

Yet another anticipated weekend of SEC baseball has now officially passed, meaning that we continue to have a look at which teams from the conference will be competing for a regular season championship this season, as well as the programs who will not.

Now yes, it is certainly still early in the SEC baseball season, but there are already multiple teams who are starting to separate themselves at the top of the regular season standings, while others however currently find themselves far behind following rough starts to the year.

Here is a look at the latest SEC baseball standings, which are current as of Monday, March 31.

  • T-1. Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas (8-1)
  • 5. LSU (7-2)
  • T-6. Alabama, Ole Miss (6-3)
  • 8. Oklahoma (5-4)
  • T-9. Auburn, Kentucky, Vanderbilt (4-5)
  • T-12. Florida, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Texas A&M (1-8)
  • 16. Missouri (0-9)

As mentioned above, there is currently a four-way tie for first place in the SEC at 8-1 in conference play between Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee, and Texas. Each are off to stellar starts to the season, positioning themselves well among the conference's best.

On the opposite end of that conversation, there are five different SEC teams who have struggled mightily to begin conference play, four of which in Florida, Mississippi State, South Carolina, and Texas A&M sit at 1-8. Only one SEC team remains winless in conference play, which is Missouri at 0-9.

Lastly, Alabama is currently tied for sixth with Ole Miss at 6-3 in SEC play ahead of a road series at Auburn this weekend.
