SEC baseball standings: Where does LSU baseball sit after week three of SEC play

Another week of SEC baseball is in the books. LSU bounced back with a sweep of Mississippi State after dropping a series to Texas the week prior.

The Tigers are now 7-2 in conference play. A solid record, but not good enough for the top spot in the SEC.

Three weeks into the year, we're starting to see some separation in the standings. Some teams are clearly contenders while some programs are already watching their NCAA Tournament hopes slip away. Of course, the jury is still out on a few teams, too.

The Florida Gators finally got a conference win but dropped another series. UF is 1-8 in SEC play. Florida has work to do if it wants to take part in the postseason. The Gators have the talent to go on a run, but they can't afford to fall much further.

Georgia and Tennessee are two of four teams with 8-1 records at the top of the conference. The Vols and Dawgs' lineups both look prime for a College World Series run.

Here's a complete look at the SEC baseball standings after three weeks of conference play.
