Vote for Week 1 Delaware HS Athlete of the Week, presented by Delaware Orthopaedic Specialists

Help decide which performance was the best in Delaware high school sports during the first week of competition of the spring sports season. Vote for the Delaware Online High School Sports Athlete of the Week, presented by Delaware Orthopaedic Specialists.

Voting is free on Delaware Online. The winner will be announced Friday.

Nominations for next week's Athlete of the Week poll can be sent to high school sports reporter Brandon Holveck at bholveck@delawareonline.com.

Here are this week's nominees:

Ava Brown, Cape Henlopen girls soccer: The junior had three goals and an assist in a 5-2 victory over Brandywine and a 9-0 win over Woodbridge.

Donovan Boulden, St. Georges baseball: The junior had five hits, including a double and a triple, in a 17-7 victory over Appoquinimink and a 10-6 win over William Penn.

Morgyn Cook, Concord softball: The sophomore went 3-for-3 with a home run and 4 RBI in a 22-1 victory over Dickinson and 3-for-3 with a double and triple and 3 RBI in a 12-6 win over Middletown.

Benjamin Osbourn, Wilmington Friends boys lacrosse: The junior had four goals and an assist in a 12-0 victory over Polytech and a 5-3 win over St. Andrew's.

Aaron Parfitt, Milford boys tennis: The junior won matches against Dover and Lake Forest, helping Milford to a 2-0 start.
