Celtics' Jayson Tatum on talking to refs after his 13th technical foul of the season

Star Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum might have quite a bit of the NBA landscape figured out at this stage of his career as he enters the height of his prime years. But when it comes to working with the game officials to ensure he gets a fair whistle, the St. Louis native recently had to admit that nuanced aspect of the game still has some work to be done on his part after picking up his 13th technical foul of the 2024-25 regular season in a win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday (March 31) night.

“Depending on the night, some things that you say on a Tuesday it's cool, you say them on a Saturday they give you a tech," complained Tatum postgame. "I haven't got that (expletive) figured out yet. I'll let you know when I do.”

The folks behind the "CLNS Media Boston Sports Network" YouTube channel put together a clip of the interview in which he opened up about the refs and his techs. Check it out below to hear it in full.
