Spring, aside from occasional snow flurries, has begun in northwestern Pennsylvania.
So have District 10 sports for that particular time of the year. Inclement weather dissipated enough for some Erie County teams to hold actual games late this month.
Because of that, the initial Erie Times-News Seaway Window and AHN Sports Medicine athlete of the week polls for spring are now available. Such ballots will run through the end of May.
Starting this week, fans, coaches and statisticians can suggest athlete of the week nominees over a specific calendar week. They can be submitted to sports@timesnews.com.
Although the Times-News doesn't guarantee they'll be selected, they will be considered.
