Vote for the Menke GMC Athlete of the Week for March 30- April 6

With spring sports in full swing, it’s time to vote for the standout performer of the week for the Central Wisconsin area.

The Menke GMC Athlete of the week poll for March 30- April 6 is now open until noon Thursday. 

Choose which high school performer you think stands out and shined brightest from a field of high-performing student-athletes.

Logan Zickert, Pittsville baseball: Zickert pitched five innings notching eight strikeouts while also recording three hits and three runs for the Panthers in their win over Pacelli on April 3. 

Tomas Uemura, Pacelli baseball: Uemura helped Pacelli earn a 12-4 win over Weyauwega-Fremont with three runs, two hits and two RBIs.

Ava Lansing, Iola-Scandinavia/Amherst girls soccer: Lansing contributed to a victory with a game-high of two goals against Merrill on April 4. 

Hannah Rekowski, Iola-Scandinavia/Amherst girls soccer: Rekowski notched a goal and an assist in a win over Merrill on April 4. 

Latrell Rogers, Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln track and field: Rogers won the 55-meter dash at the Bluejay Indoor Invite on April 3. 

Shiloh Karlen, Edgar track and field: Karlen won the girl’s 55-meter dash at the Bluejay Indoor Invite on April 3. 

Xavier Edwards, D.C. Everest track and field: Edwards won the triple jump event at the Wisconsin State indoor track and field championships on April 5.
