As the 2025 NFL Draft approaches, the Los Angeles Rams continue to be connected to the top quarterback prospects in the class. They reportedly spent “considerable time” with Jaxson Dart, a potential first-round prospect, and will also have Jalen Milroe in for a visit – another talented QB who could sneak into Round 1.
Before those reports came out, Sean McVay told reporters he hasn’t done much homework on this year’s quarterbacks, but the Rams’ actions tell a different story.
And now, draft analyst Todd McShay is adding fuel to the fire connecting the Rams to Milroe. In his latest mock draft, he has the Giants trading up to No. 24 for Milroe in Round 1 because of the possibility that the Rams will take him.
“Why do you do that? Because there’s a of buzz right now, folks. There’s a lot of buzz about Sean McVay and Jalen Milroe,” McShay said (h/t Turf Show Times). “And Sean McVay’s team – with Les Snead, our good bud – pick at 26. So you’ve got to get up ahead, and you don’t want to wait until 25 because they may have an offensive tackle there or an offensive lineman that they’re dying to take in Houston.”
McShay has the Rams drafting Texas cornerback Jahdae Barron at No. 26, but he once again noted the rumors about the Rams’ interest in quarterbacks.
“A lot of quarterback buzz, understandably. Cornerback is a need. Jahdae Barron, with the zone coverage stuff they run there, would be a perfect fit.”
We’ll only need to wait two more weeks to find out just how real the Rams’ interest in these quarterbacks is, but signs point toward them at least considering some of the top guys in Round 1.
